Many people on the Internet claim that the narrow band O2 sensor is not accurate enough to tune an engine. We agree that it is used as a switch on a car to control emissions but as you can see from the horsepower chart above, we have designed our meter to zoom in on a very narrow range of measurement.

In the O2 chart below, you can clearly see that the inexpensive narrow band O2 sensor provides a useful lambda reading for the range we are interested in. Through extensive testing with a thermocouple installed on a dirt bike in ACTUAL RIDING CONDITIONS, we have documented that the exhaust temperature range is very small. Using that data, we calibrated the Jet4Power meter and designed it with a very narrow range of measurement.
